I’m Paul Dodd, a CTO based in the Cotswolds. I build and maintain VibeCodeStorage.
My work spans developer tools, infrastructure and AI. I also run Halfpenny Mac, a managed Mac hosting service.
VibeCodeStorage brings that practical focus to small apps: a way to save settings and progress without setting up a database or creating an account.
The JavaScript SDK and command-line client encrypt data before sending it to the service. You keep the encryption key and your private credentials. It’s designed for trusted local tools and Node.js backends.
Building it with the first users.
This is an early, limited pilot. I’m looking for builders to try it in a small project, see whether their data survives a restart, and tell me what was useful or confusing.
If you hit a problem or have a question, send a message. The form reaches the private admin inbox. Please leave out access tokens, encryption keys and private project data.
Try a small idea.
The working example and coding-agent prompt walk you through your first save and restart. Use non-sensitive sample data and keep your own backups.
Use the Auth preview for passkey sign-in and per-customer records. Choose customer-private encryption or app-managed data with authorised support access. Check hosted availability before setup. Use Connect for account-free browser storage, or the Node SDK on a trusted backend.
